Robin Edwards (London, England) Robin is a talented mask maker and deviser, as well as being a performer. He trained at the London International School of Performing Arts, where he completed the Advanced-Lecoq based actor created theatre program in 2006. Since graduating, in addition to his work in the UK, with Swazzled Theatre, his international work includes; Spain, with Decollage Ensemble, performing in their new site specific work ‘Siempre se me olvida Algo’; Morocco, with theatre Amoebia, in their piece ‘Rooftops’ at the festival 4eme journées théátrales de Chefchaouen. In 2008 Robin will be performing with Theatre Satellite, in Montreal, Canada, in their new production ‘Dig’. Robin also works as a performer and movement coach with the National Theatre's education departments City Ambassadors group; working with young refugees on a new play by Philip Ridley
Flavia Fraser-Cannon (London, England) Flavia has had a many facited career in the theatre from front of house and box office at BAC, stage management at the NYT and training as an actress at ALRA to internships at Cheek by Jowl and Your Imagination, fundraising at YMT: UK and PR (skydives to stand-up comedy). She regularly produces short plays event The Miniaturists, co-produces Scratch Sundays and has produced Swazzled since late 2006. Her big things at the moment are photography, building websites and designing posters (all of which you can see on this site) Other fluid members come in and out of the company on a project by project basis
Will Pinchin (New York, USA) is a recent graduate of the London International School of Performing Arts. He also holds a B.F.A in Acting from Ithaca College. Before moving to London Will performed in a number of Off-Off Broadway shows including: The Merchant of Venice, The Importance of Being Earnest, and Macbeth. While in London he has been involved in devising Wayward Spaniel’s Mr. Whippendale playing the part of JJ. He has just finished The Gravity Project with Counterweight Theatre, which toured the UK and Spain. Will is very proud to have directed Swazzled’s debut production of That’s The Way to Do It, as well as building masks, props, and a giant puppy dog.
Dorie Kinnear (Santa Margarita, Ca) Dorie is a traveler at heart and has studied in California, Canada, Italy and England. With all the moving she does, she found it only appropriate to get her MFA in Lecoq based physical theatre from Naropa University by studying at the London International School of Performing Arts. Since graduating in 2006, Dorie has been performing around the world with Compagnie Les Planches in Blue Beard, London; Swazzled Theatre in That's the Way to Do It, Brighton Fringe Festival; Amoeba Theatre in Rooftops, Morocco; Infectious Theatre in Melody, New York; and currently working once more with Swazzled Theatre on Small Corners , London. As well as performing and devising, Dorie enjoys mask making, costume design, and African Dancing.
Jen Pearcy (Texas, USA) recently completed her MFA in Actor-Created Physical Theatre from Naropa University at LISPA, and holds a BFA in Acting from the College of Santa Fe. Jen’s past company affiliations include Das Puppenspiel Puppet Theatre, Poko Puppets, The Unexpected Guests, Mild Dementia Improv, Dallas Children’s Theatre, and Square Peg Theatre Collective, for which she served as Artistic Director for two years. She is currently a company member of London’s Swazzled Theatre, and was the puppeteer for their debut retelling of Punch and Judy, That’s the Way to Do It! in the 2007 Brighton Festival. Jen’s most recent adventure was beginning work on the new show Melody at the Performing the World conference in Tarrytown, NY; the piece is about a young girl growing up with undiagnosed Tourette syndrome, and she plans to continue work on it in 2008.
Toby Coe (London, England) Toby is a multitalented artist working primarily in video, sculpture and performance. He graduated with a BA in fine art from Middlesex University in 2006. Since then he has produced music videos and performed at a variety of art events, including some at The Whitechapel gallery. His first set design/construction project was for Swazzled Theatre’s debut production That’s the way to do it! For which he acted as designer/fabricator for general artwork, set, puppets and props. In Small Corners he has continued in this role but is also performing. He hopes to extend his work in set/puppet design and construction and is very exited by this prospect.
